From 588 to 714 Credit Score…And Just in Time!

My wife Stacy got pregnant, with our second child, about this time last year.  We were living in a 2 bedroom apartment that we had been renting for a few years and we were always pretty comfortable there.  I knew that she would want to move into a house someday, but I always kind of put it on the back burner.  To be honest, I knew I didn’t have a high enough credit score to qualify for a mortgage loan.  I have a stable job and have made a decent salary for long time, but I knew how much banks look at credit when you apply for a mortgage…or any other loan for that matter.

Well it all came to a head a year ago.  Stacy was pregnant and our son Max was already growing out of the small second bedroom in the apartment.  I had to buy a house…and fast.  I couldn’t let my family live crammed into a small apartment.  And we were making enough money to afford the payment, so why shouldn’t I buy a house?  But I had to deal with the credit situation first…

I called Lexington Law Firm on a friend’s recommendation.  They’re a reputable firm that specialized in credit repair and had offices all over the place.  Plus, I didn’t really have time to wait.  They got to work right away on my 588, 591 and 601 scores.  As it turns out, my credit report was full of errors.  Companies had mis-reported late payments and even collections.  I was shocked…and pretty mad.  To my surprise, my attorney said that was really common!  He said 60% of people have mistakes on their report that negatively affect their score.  60%!  They got to work immediately on deletion letters, complaint letters and re-score requests.  I don’t even really know what that all means, but they sure do.  My Experian score alone jumped from 588 to 714 in a matter of months.  I was ecstatic.

So guess what happened next:

-Placed a contract on a 2500 square foot single family home in a good neighborhood

-Mortgage application approved with ease (ecstatic again)

-We moved in 6 weeks before my daughter, Jasmine, was born!

-Happy wife and family!

Now I certainly owe a debt of gratitude to Lexington Law for their great work, but then again, they were just doing their job.  I needed credit repair and they knew how to make it happen.  Not to sound like a jerk, but I also deserve some credit (no pun) myself for getting it done. LOL! After years of procrastinating and not doing anything about it, I picked up the phone and made the call.  Glad that I did J

Anyway, thanks to Credit Repair Life for telling my story.  Keep up the good work!
